Museum Guidelines

Group Visits such as school tours (about 6 people or more)

Because of space limitations, please make a reservation in advance. 

Manners

Before your visit, take a few minutes to read over the following museum manners.

Photography Policy

Personal photos and videos are permitted in the museum except the museum shop, however, the use of tripods or selfie sticks and upload to live streaming sites are forbidden.

If you wish to publish the photos in any media, prior notification is required.

Free Wi-Fi and Multilingual Text Guides

Free Wi-Fi is now available at MPM from March 6th, 2019.
Multilingual Text Guides are also available, giving expanded information in English and other languages, so you might like to download a QR code reader application before your visit.

AED - Automated External Defibrillator -

There is an AED on the first floor. 

Coin-operated lockers 

There are coin-operated lockers in the entrance (100 yen deposit). The coin will return when unlocking the locker.

​●Wheelchair

If you require the use of the wheelchair-accessible lift, please use the intercom to call staff.

Strollers

Use of baby carriages in the museum is not permitted. Strollers are accommodated at the entrance.

​●Toilet

A wheelchair-accessible toilet with a diaper changing table is available on the first floor. 

Assistance dogs

Assistance dogs such as guide dogs and hearing dogs are welcome in the museum.
